Integrative Massage Therapy

Massage has many beneficial effects on the entire body as well as on areas of dysfunction and pain. Massage promotes circulation in the tissues and calms the nervous system. With the body in a relaxed state, specific massage techniques help to restore correct movement and function to injured or chronically stressed areas. With Ron, massage therapy is more than an enjoyable experience; it is part of a healthy lifestyle.

                  Integrated Relaxation Massage

A deeply satisfying massage, this unique work starts at a level just below the skin and uses the subtle natural movement of the body's tissues to wind its way gently into the deep layers of your body. The body's inherent movment guide's the therapist's hands to the places where stress leaves its imprint, allowing both mental and physical tension to melt away. In these sessions, clients frequently attain a state of deep relaxation while maintaining an acute awareness of ther bodies, getting the most out of the down time that you need to maintain your well being.

                  Deep Tissue Massage

This form of bodywork artfully applies deep pressure to release stored muscle tension. This work can induce a state of calm relaxation as well as open constricted areas by unwinding knots and chronic holding in your body's tissues. This form of bodywork may be used locally to address many acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain issues or done as a full body session to deal with the effects of stress, improve circulation and immune function. Knowledge of human structure and biomechanics assists the therapist in getting to the root of pain and tension.

                  Post-natal Massage

Massage can be a valuable tool in helping women to make the transition from pregnancy to mothering an infant. The birth of a baby can be difficult for many women. I lend my attention to the importance of good care for mothers as well as new babies. We offer a variety of treatment options for mothers including massage, acupuncture, Chinese herbs and dietary recommendations. Informational sessions for parents about self care and baby massage are also available.
